Phishing Scams Target Customers of Virgin Media

Netsecurity.org reported on 31st March, 2015 that a clever spam campaign is targeting customers of Virgin Media, a UK-based telecom and ISP (Internet Service Provider) trying to collect account information like details of login for PayPal account and payment card.

The email says that you will be receiving bills online from the company and the company is improving its system of payment for which you must immediately upgrade your details for billing otherwise you may lose your email address. The email also instructs you to click on a "sign in" link for upgradation.

Actually, the email is not sent by Virgin Media because it is a phishing scam planned to trick you to submit your financial and personal information to cybercriminals. If you click on the link attached with the email, you will be taken to a fake website which looks like a genuine webpage of Virgin Media.
