How susceptible are you to enterprise phishing? - Enterprise Times

Security vendor PhishMe has published its 2017 Enterprise Phishing Resiliency and Defence Report(registration required). It’s an interesting read and is based on over 1,400 customers across the globe. It is also, unlike many reports, not all about doom and gloom. PhishMe has found that customer susceptibility to phishing attacks is on the decline despite the number of attacks rising year on year. It credits this with customers building their own anti-phishing programmes inside their organisations.

There has also been a significant increase in the number of companies doing gamification around phishing emails. This often takes the form of internal phishing simulations with companies recording how individuals do. The goal is to see how quickly an individual spots a phish and how they inform their peers and IT security teams. Peer to peer notification is a strong way to get people to take notice.
