In a kitchen located in our own galaxy not so far away, Youtuber and baker Yolanda Gampp shows us how to turn the new droid BB-8 into a yummy cake.

After all, if BB-8 is going to be the breakout star of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," he might as well roll into over lives as a delicious cake. He's already been a remote-control toy, a diamond-studded paperweight, a Halloween gourd, a life-size plushie, a serving platter, even a paper snowflake.

And we're always ready for more Star Wars sweets, like Death Star macaroons, Admiral Ackbar cupcakes or even a Sarlacc pit cake.

This highly detailed BB-8 cake is made using chocolate cake, fondant and modeling chocolate. Building it wasn't easy -- it's a sphere and a half, after all. Gampp ended up using 10 pounds of chocolate cake batter in total to fill all three of her baking pans....(continued)
